6.2.9 CG 200PC Cementitious Grout

6.2.9.3 INSTALLATION DATA

Basic Uses
CG200PC is suitable for use in the grouting of heavy equipment and machinery, concrete and structural steel columns, anchors and bearing plates, as well as grouting and leveling precast and prestressed members.

CG200PC is suitable where a combination of high early strength, shrinkage compensation and ease of placement are important.

Coverage
  • 55 lb unit yields:
    • Trowel Consistency - 0.51 cu ft
    • Fluid Consistency - 0.55 cu ft
Limitations
  • CG200PC is not for use in areas subject to spillage of acids or sulfates.
  • CG200PC is not for use in applications subject to severe vibration or sudden dynamic loading, such as stamping presses and industrial generators and turbines.
  • CG200PC must not be vibrated during placement. Consolidation is to be by rodding.
  • CG200PC must be coated with a protective membrane, when exposed to acids or sulfates.
6.2.9.4 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Temperatures
During mixing and placing maintain a temperature of 600F for grout and water. Air and substrate temperatures must be above 450F during placement, and must remain above freezing for 48 hours afterwards.
Surface Preparation
Saturate the substrate with water for 24 hours prior to grout placement. The area to be grouted must be free of loose or deteriorated concrete, dust, dirt, grease, oil and paints or other coatings. If grouting beneath structural systems, provide air relief holes as necessary. Remove excess water with absorbent cloths, compressed air or vacuuming, leaving no puddles.
Form Work
Wood forms or other absorbent forms should be coated with a form release oil to prevent adhesion of CG200PC and to prevent absorption of water by the form. Forms should be designed to permit rapid, continuous and complete filling of the space to be grouted.

Use procedures which permit CG200PC to flow by gravity between the surfaces and keep the grout in full contact with these surfaces until it has hardened.

Mixing
CG200PC may be mixed to a dry pack, hand trowel or fluid pourable consistency, depending on the amount of water added. Do not add additional cement or other materials for any reason. CG200PC is a pre-blended grout which uses a precise blend of select silica aggregate, set accelerators, water and reducing agents, fluidizers and expansion producing admixtures.

The water additions shown below will provide a general guideline for achieving the desired consistency. Amounts shown are for 55 pounds (one unit) of powdered product. The actual amount of water required may be affected by the temperature, batch size and mix method chosen.

CG200PC may be mixed in a revolving concrete mixer, or in a bucket, using a Hilti TE-25 drill and a flat mixing paddle. The method chosen should allow continuous placements, so that all the grout is in place before any of it has taken a set.

DO NOT add excessive water which may cause bleeding or segregation of aggregates under job conditions.

DO NOT mix more grout than can be placed in 15 minutes

DO NOT use vibrators in placing the grout

DO NOT retemper.

Discard lumpy material or broken containers.

Storage Life
One year from date of manufacture, in original, unopened container.
